Hi all i have new Lenovo PB1 770m I attempted to root it the TWRP was installed but it was not rooted
then I tried to update the firmware to the latest 151111 and no go, in the end i managed to delete the operating system so now I can boot to recovery mode only, When I try to restart it comes up with No OS Installed, I have tried to install xposed v79 sdk21 arm64zip no go, Ok now I know that I am an IDIOT for
not making a backup of original system and not cheking the firmware was the same as the root guide,
On the top of recovery screen is :- 2.8.7.7 SevenMaxs and TeamWin Recovery Project, I guess this could
be an expensive lesson, I have been looking for an original ROM with no luck so any help would be very

UPDATE I managed to get a ROM from Russian site PB1-770M_S000156_150930_ROW_fastboot.7z 1.8gig
instructions say to be installed from computer via usb my problem is I can only access the internal storage or external SD card not the Usb-otg so it seems I can only update from the sd or internal memory
tried putting the rom on both but no go

i have htc m7 mobile bought from australia unlocked. i am in india problem is 3g/4g is not working in my mobile when i select the network signal and data goes off. only 2g is working 3g/4g data was working about 2 months back suddenly it stopped one day i have a 4g sim with working data plan tried for factory rest still not working. my imei no. is 355859052933132 .android version 5.0.2

Hello friends,
This note5 SM920W8 is stuck at boot screen and its not going in recovery mode too.

I have tried flashing spacex kernel, arte47 kernel, but it wont boot after boot screen
I have tried downloading stock rom N920W8VLU1AOI1 and flashing it but flashing stock is *GETTING FAILED* in odin everytime, but when I flash kernel then odin is not failing
I have also tried flashing TWRP recovery for note 5 but still I cant get the phone to turn ON or still cant get phone into recovery mode after boot screen

So as far as I'm aware:
If you have an AT&T branded smartphone, or any other that's in their system, and you insert a SIM that doesn't have a data plan, ATT will just add one for you.
(Because it's in their ToS that you need to have one blah blah blah.)

But if it's a non-ATT phone, it's hit or miss on whether they can detect your phone or not, and the risk is that they eventually might.

Now, has anyone that has unlocked their S4 through the methods posted here use their phone on AT&T without a data plan and tell me if they didn't eventually get detected?

I checked my IMEI with AT&T in two ways:
AT&T Unlock Page

As you would guess, it said go to your own carrier to unlock it,

AT&T BYOD Page

Putting my IMEI in just throws an error and asks to type it in again

I have a friend that uses a flip phone and I told her she could use my S4 since it's just sitting around being used as a TV remote, but she doesn't want to pay for data and I don't want to confuse her by telling her to switch to GoPhone, since her phone is on her parents account and stuff.

Hi, i have 4gig version with ClaeanKat on Canvas a120. When i try to play Real Racing 3 on my device it lags a lot. Is there any tweak to play this game without any lag on this device? Which other ROM (no bugs) will best suit the purpose?

Help. I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 (ROOT ), my problem is this : Attempt to reset my phone to factory , cleaning wanted to give , but when one starts reinico in " donwloading " "Odin Mode" , but it automatically switches off again " donwloading " When I use " Vol - oN" and choose to restart the phone, starts normally only 2-3 seconds and return to " Downloading" :crying:

When I bike, I use the "I am Alive" app to prevent the screen from turning off. The battery drains really fast though because the background color of the S Health app is green for some reason. Is there any way to change the background color to black? If no, I'm afraid I'll have to use my good old Gear Fit when I go cycling :crying:

Hello Everyone!
I just got a New t mobile note 4 SM-n910T3 lollypop? 5.1.1
I have been Cruzin this site and the web all night looking on how to root this phone without tripping knox
I am on a satellite internet service (HUGHESNET) and it is so very slow at times and only 250 megs of web surfing per day and I just about burned up my days allotment today trying to figure this phone out and rooting it
was going to get a note 5 but you can't replace a battery or add a sd card. most of Samsung new models are like the note 5, then finding out about this 5.1.1!! it looks like Samsung does not like people that buy there phones to modify or customize what they pay $500 to $700 for
So what is the best way to root this phone?? without tripping the knox
there is www.towelroot.com does this trip knox?
pingpong root?
one click root?
kingroot?
man o man this seems to go on and on
I wish the moderators here would make a thread on tested rooting processes so those of us that
do not have the skills that most people here at XDA do!! So like this post I think there are many many more like mine here!

Hello Friends. I am new to XDA forums, but i have read and taken tips from you guys many times.
A couple of days ago, i tried to root my canvas Nitro a310. I had rooted it earlier using the Kingoroot app (the one with the green circle with Chinese alphabets.) It worked fine. I wanted to install a new rom, CM12.1 V2 which is on your site. For that, i proceeded to install twrp recovery. But my phone hanged in the fastboot mode. So i took tips from your site again which told me to install the stock recovery using ygdp tool. I did all that, the installation showed 100% complete and then dump was taken. However, after that the phone went blank. completely blank. It does not even show a factory setting blue box as some other members mentioned. It refuses to boot up, does not show the led lights even when charging, and does not connect to PC. When i tried to install the stock rom again, the pc emitted the sound of usb attached, then suddenly removed. This continues in a loop. The connection sound comes, and after 2-3 seconds, disconnection sound comes. I removed the battery and tried to connect again by holding the combination of power key and volume down key. The same sounds kept coming. Even tried on another PC, but the outcome was same. Frustrated, I went to the service center. They asked me to keep the handset for a week which I am not willing to do. Is there anyone who has experienced same problem? I believe its a hardware issue. So any help in the hardware would also be appreciated. Please suggest a way out of this. Thanks in advance.

My D5303 5.1.1 was OK before connecting to google servers
I'm not sure if after I rooted it using Kingroot that I can't connect & it always says "check your connection" when i have a live connection.
Un-installed kingroot which takes out root BUT still the phone cannot connect to google server.

any solution on this?
I haven't factory reset the phone yet though.

Respected Experts and Moderators,

Apologies if I posted my question in a wrong forum.

I have a mobile running Android 4.2.1 and I GB RAM. I landed into a typical problem of 'Space Running Out'. My App Manager shows that I have roughly 50 MB free memory.

I tried various methods like Cache Cleaner, ES File Explorer (to clean log files etc). However, the problem would return back. Than I learned about applications like Roehsoft's RAM Expander that can create a swap file to increase the RAM. My phone is compatible with the app as the result of test done their 'MemoryInfo-SwapCheck' app shows. Since, this is a paid app, I wondering how does it hooks into the Android System so that the:

# Android is aware of the swap file
# Android is able to use the swap file as an extension of its RAM
# Any effect on performance since I/O from internal RAM would much much faster than from a memory card

Thanks.

PS: I am a software engineer but my field of expertise is web applications.

ok I have the LG G3 D856, and I just noticed that when I record a video of a full silence room there is a strange constantly noice.....But when I install the Xcam LG app on the phone, and record a video with it.... the noise is gonne... Its Anyone here with the same issue? I am full STOCK firmware. KK, and on LP also happens.:confused:

Have an Amaze 4G I set up for a friend a few years back with 4ext recovery and the ViperAmaze rom. I did unlock it back then but did not change S-ON to S-OFF. They gave it to me to just mess with but am having a few issues. For one, I can't seem to flash anything else onto it. From 4ext I have been unable to flash CM11 or the PAC-MAN rom. Any and all builds of those immediately error out with just a status 0 message. I am however able to flash Viper on and off without issue and jumped from 1.6.5 to 2.0.2 of that. But I really want just CM11 on it. Tried changing back to ext3 from ext4 format to see if that would make a difference or not but no change. Thought maybe I'd have to switch my recovery on there to TWRP but for the life of me I can't get it to connect via fastboot. I've never had an issue with devices before but this one first of all takes for-ev-er to get recognized that it has been plugged in to any PC and then the driver always errors out as it fails to start.

So should I just accept defeat or is there anything I am missing from getting things like CM11 to actually write to the device?

We are using Kindle Fire 7 tablets as our new tablet for customer with an app we built. The issue we are having is the screen will go blank if it has not been used for a little while. These are being used as a loyalty program with signup information so the screen need to stay on. We went into settings and the max is 30 minutes, is there a programming method we can include in our app or some type of java script that will stop this from happening ?

Generally the tablets will be in a stand on the counter so the last thing we want is customers to see a blank screen..

step 2-Open rasher flash tool app select kernel from storage
step 3-locate your kernel file in internal storage

step 5-flash kernel and reboot your device
